Alita Edgar is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in the arts, specializing in creating breathtaking moments through installation and performance art.

She co-created the Trans-National installation and performance in the UAE in 2019, commissioned by the Sharjah Art Foundation, showcasing her ability to orchestrate talent, resources, and technical expertise to deliver awe-inspiring experiences.

Her work involves a collaborative approach, blending historic and regional research, community connections, sculpture, visuals, music, choreography, and sound to bring about powerful moments of wonder.

Alita excels in team environments, focusing on messages, attention, memories, meaning, and goodwill exchange to enrich her projects and engagements.

She holds an M.S. in Historic Preservation Urban Planning from Pratt Institute and a BA in Psychology from Smith College, reflecting her interdisciplinary academic background.

With a wealth of experience, Alita has held various roles including Artistic Director at SF Institute of Possibility, Director Of Strategy & Special Projects at New Orleans Airlift, Program Manager at St. Claude Main Street, and positions in finance, bookkeeping, and editorial roles at organizations like Capital Roundtable, mediabistro.com, and Condé Nast.
