Alix Gerber

Researcher/Designer

Alix Gerber is a multi-talented individual with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in design, research, and teaching.

She holds a Master's degree in Transdisciplinary Design from Parsons School of Design at The New School, a Bachelor of Science in Design and Environmental Analysis with a focus on Interior Design from Cornell University, and has studied Architecture & Design at the Danish Institute for Study Abroad.

Throughout her career, Alix has been associated with various prestigious organizations in different roles, showcasing her flexibility and expertise.

She has served as a Post-Graduate Fellow in Interdisciplinary Design Practices at Smith College, an Independent Design Researcher at Designing Radical Futures, a Design Strategist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and a Part-time Faculty member at Parsons School of Design - The New School.

Her teaching experience also includes being a Visiting Assistant Professor at Washington University in St. Louis and a Teaching Assistant at the Cornell University Summer Session.

Alix has conducted significant research and design work during her tenure, having worked as a Researcher & Service Designer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, a Researcher at IA Collaborative, a Designer at Nike Foundation, and a Consumer Insights & Trends Intern at Ziba Design.

She has also demonstrated leadership skills as the Cornell Studio Co-founder and Leader at Design for America, highlighting her commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration.
