I learned a new term today - a behavior I’ve known but didn’t have a word for: ‘Founder Mode’

Conceptually it means that the most successful companies aren’t run by managers; they’re run by ‘founders’ at every level.

Founder mode means defying convention, staying close to the action, and making decisions that keep the vision alive—even as the company grows.

It means thinking bigger, being responsible for the outcomes - both good and bad.

The best employees I’ve ever had always embody founder-mode and can be found even in big companies

note: in big companies this behavior isn’t always rewarded the way it should be.

92% of buyers prefer a sales rep who is a trusted advisor. This is obvious; but the solution can be hard, especially when ramping a GTM org in Tech.

My observation: companies are better at product training than solution selling, which is what turns the swarmy sales person into a partner.

This month we are running a free workshop led by our partners at Accelerate Performance called Client Centricity and I’d love for you to send your team as a great refresher
