With a strong academic background, Alyoscia holds a Master's degree in Social and Political Thought and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations, both from the University of Sussex.

During his career, Alyoscia has held various leadership positions at the International Rescue Committee, including Vice President, Head of Technical Excellence, Head of Office in Geneva, and Senior Director roles.

His vast experience extends across regions such as Africa, the Balkans, and the UK, where he has demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing organizational strategies, policies, and programs across diverse sectors.

Alyoscia D'Onofrio's professional skills encompass excellent communication, representation, advocacy, and a successful track record in managing research and evaluations, program development, business partnerships, and funding initiatives.

Prior to his roles at IRC, Alyoscia served in capacities such as Regional Director for Africa Great Lakes, Country / Regional Director for DR Congo, and Executive Director in the UK within the same organization.

His earlier experiences include coordinating initiatives in Bosnia and Herzegovina, working with organizations like UNHCR, International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA), and Alliance to Defend Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Alyoscia D'Onofrio's career has been dedicated to driving positive change in challenging operational environments, with a focus on post-conflict recovery, governance, and institution-building.
