This week I celebrated 5 years at Zipline. WHAT. A. TRIP. 🤯 I was hire # 20 and remember being so excited to start my dream job at a fully remote, small, quirky, tech-y start-up where I could actually make an impact... and here I am now... not nearly as washed up or breaten down as the internet told me I'd be after this long. 🤣
I was telling my manager, Melissa Wong, that I've developed more as a person while working here than at any other point in my life. I've also LEARNED (sometimes reluctantly, amiright right Leslie Collin, CPHR😆?) more here than at any other point in my life.
Certainly no job or other life experience has ever challenged me as much as this....but also no job had even given me the push, the trust, the support or the autonomy to flourish and grow (and make mistakes and try new things) the way Zipline has. And I truly work with the kindest, funniest, smartest people in the world who make my day (even on the bad ones). I'm so lucky to be a part of this crew.
Now, where should I go on the 5 year sabbatical that I earned with all my blood, sweat, and tears??? 😉 😆 #ziplife
This post is a couple weeks overdue ... I've still been basking in the afterglow of Zipline Offsite 2022. After 6 months of planning with the incredible team at Moniker, the event exceeded my every expectation. It was epic. Even despite a hurricane headed to Puerto Vallarta the day 50% of the company was due to arrive (😰), everyone landed safely and the week-long event was insanely successful. As a fully remote company, the value in bringing people together this way has to be extremely intentional and inclusive... and it was! So many cross functional connections and friendships made, lines of communication open, real life strategizing and exchanging of ideas. Learning, growing, laughing and leaning hard into our "why". It couldn't have been more perfect. Endless thank yous to Melissa Wong and our incredible Leadership Team for investing in the event... and in us. ❤️ #ziplife #ziplineconnect #remotework
