Alyssa Crippen

WAVES Marie Curie Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh

Alyssa Crippen was a WAVES Marie Curie Research Fellow and PhD candidate at The University of Edinburgh from November 2015 to 2022.6 Her research focused on "Real-future forecasting of rock fracturing".3 As part of the WAVES program, she participated in a short course on "Advanced geophysical imaging in complex media" at Delft University of Technology in September 2016.1

After completing her PhD, Crippen transitioned to a new role. As of November 2024, she started a position as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.5 Her current work is associated with the J. Philip Kistler Stroke Research Center in Cambridge, MA.2

Crippen is also involved with the Center for the Assessment of Tobacco Regulations (CAsToR) as a junior investigator.4 Her research interests appear to span geophysics, medical research, and tobacco regulation assessment.
