Highlights
I'm thrilled to share that I'll be attending Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business to start my MBA this fall! I'm excited to begin this next chapter and incredibly grateful to everyone who supported me throughout the application process. Thank you to Forté Foundation for the resources and community, Andy Page and Chip Ransler for their kind words, Whitney Garner for the GRE wizardry, Louis Wu for making me feel part of TeamFuqua even before it was official, Emily Anne (Nolte) Jacobstein for the mentorship, Mom for hemming my pants the night before my interview, friends and family for the encouragement, and many, many others who helped to make this possible. This Virginia girl is so happy to get to stay in the land of biscuits, BBQ, and blue crab, just please don't ask me who I'm cheering for during basketball season.
After 4 great years, my chapter at Forge is coming to a close. As I reflect on my time, there are a few moments that stand out: 🚀 Matching 300+ students with summer internships to launch their professional careers. 💡 Providing learning opportunities for 900+ students to build in-demand skills and expose them to new career paths. 👩💻 Launching our gender equity initiative to work towards a more inclusive, representative tech industry (+33% women in Data Science and +9% in Software Engineering in just our first year!). 🤝 Working with the University of Virginia (go Hoos!) + many impactful, thoughtful women leaders to facilitate important conversations about gender equity in today's workforce. 🤩 Working and learning alongside so many smart, mission-driven, creative people. I am so proud of the work we've done to further our mission to empower students to realize their potential and make early career development more equitable. A huge thank you to my colleagues, board members, community supporters, and students for making my time here so special!
