Amanda Smiles is a dedicated individual who found her calling in assisting incarcerated women in the Andes during a study abroad program in Peru, which led her to establish the non-profit organization Ruraq Maki.

As the Executive Director of Ruraq Maki, Amanda has leveraged her background in administrative and bookkeeping roles to successfully develop the organization, drawing on her years of experience in office management within non-profit and small business settings.

Amanda's passion for community service also shines through her extensive volunteer work with houseless populations, individuals at risk for HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis C, and those dealing with substance abuse problems.

Through Ruraq Maki, Amanda integrates her expertise in business administration with her commitment to helping others, particularly low-income communities, emphasizing empowerment, collaboration, and sustainable change.

Amanda Smiles holds a degree in Liberal Studies from San Francisco State University, and has pursued studies in Coaching and Interdisciplinary Studies at other institutions.

Her professional experience includes founding and leading Ruraq Maki, as well as roles such as Bookkeeper at Andi Smiles, Personal Assistant And Accountant at Tina Stromsted Phd, Office Manager at Buen Dia Family School, and Organizer And Event Planner at Party With A Purpose.

Amanda welcomes networking opportunities within the non-profit sector, especially with other young founders and individuals working on women-focused initiatives.
