Highlights
Haven't posted on LinkedIn for a few years now, but I thought I'd share both a an opportunity for those interested in my field!
Earlier this year, I was selected as the 2024 Conference Chair for the North American Hindu Chaplains Association (NAHCA) with Northwestern as the host institution.
On August 2-4, Northwestern will be hosting Hindu chaplains from across North America, hailing from prestigious higher education institutions to notable hospitals and training schools. We've planned a robust schedule with brilliant speakers on the topic of "Shaping the Future: The Next Frontiers of Hindu Chaplaincy." When developing this topic, I thought it appropriate for this relatively young field. In order for our work to be done right, these diverse positions need to become more accessible around the country. Our speaker and keynote list reflects this – check out the posted link below!
The conference is open to all to attend, at a very affordable price. Note: You do not have to be a Hindu Chaplain to attend; rather, I would encourage current students, or those interested in engaging with the field of chaplaincy to attend. There will be many networking and fellowship opportunities from professionals at top universities in attendance.
Registration is closing soon on July 15 for in-person participation, and July 30 for an online-only experience. Please reach out if you have any questions – I am happy to answer via DMs.
Blessed to have the opportunity to further explore intersections between public and faith institutions during my time as a John Robert Lewis Fellow at The Faith & Politics Institute in Washington.
