Highlights
I’m writing a book- or more specifically, an informational graphic novel!
The working title is Understanding Statistics: A Journey Through the Statistics Memory Palace, and my goal is to publish it next spring. Thanks to Eric Koester's amazing program, I have a community of fellow authors and writers supporting me through the journey. I've already sent my editor, the incredible Michael Bailey, my first pages for feedback (which makes this all feel very real!)
I believe statistics literacy is essential for everyone, especially now that numbers and data are part of almost every news release and persuasive argument. In my book, I'll use visual examples, stories and conversations to make statistics relatable and engaging, even for people who say they ‘hate math’.
Over the next few months, I'll be sharing key pieces of the journey with you -- conversations I'm having, stories from my book, and even some sneak-peek sketches.
And I'd love your help! If you know of anyone who is a science/data journalist or statistics expert/educator I might interview (including you), please send me a message. BONUS: People I interview are likely to appear as comic characters in my book!
Thank you in advance for all your support. And here's to the wild journey towards creating this graphic novel!
