Amber Sparks is a passionate environmentalist and co-founder of Blue Latitudes, where she specializes in guiding clients through sustainable solutions for offshore oil and gas decommissioning.

With expertise in ecological, socio-economic, regulatory, and advocacy aspects of the Rigs-to-Reefs program, Amber focuses on developing offshore technologies, conducting biodiversity studies, and performing ecological assessments of offshore resources using ROVs.

Amber has a diverse educational background, including a B.A. in Marine Science from the University of California, Berkeley, an M.A.S. in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, and studies in Music Theory and Flamenco Performance.

Her professional experience spans roles at Google Ocean, National Geographic, Great Ecology, Anthropocene Institute, Huffington Post, and more, showcasing her dedication to environmental causes and ocean conservation.

Amber's involvement as an AAUS scientific diver with extensive underwater experience highlights her hands-on approach to marine research and conservation efforts.

In addition to her work at Blue Latitudes, Amber has contributed to various organizations such as UC San Diego Extension, The Blue Latitudes Foundation, and Boy Scouts of America, displaying her commitment to education and community engagement.
