Amy Briggs is an acclaimed concert pianist and recording artist with a rich background in music performance and education.

With 15 years of experience as a pianist with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's MusicNOW Ensemble, Amy has showcased her exceptional talent and dedication to music.

For 6 years, she served as the Director of Chamber Music at the prestigious University of Chicago, where she shared her expertise with aspiring musicians.

Amy has an impressive discography with solo and chamber music recordings for renowned record labels such as Bridge, PARMA, BMOP, and Wergo.

In addition to her musical pursuits, Amy is a seasoned educator with over 25 years of experience teaching piano at various levels, including university students, K-12 students, and adult learners.

Currently based in Boulder, Colorado, Amy runs a private piano studio where she imparts her knowledge in piano, music theory, and ear training.

Beyond music, Amy has delved into the technology realm as a web developer, specializing in Javascript and the NEAP stack. She has developed full-scale applications and collaborated on Agile teams, demonstrating her adaptability and passion for learning new technologies.

Amy's educational journey includes a Doctor of Music in Piano Performance from Northwestern University, a Full-Stack Web Development Immersive program at Galvanize in Boulder, a Masters in Music in Piano Performance from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Asian Studies from Skidmore College.
