Amy J. Hauenstein, PhD, is a seasoned education researcher and academic affairs administrator with a strong background in higher education and professional programs.

With a focus on identity construction through educational experiences, Dr. Hauenstein delves into intersectionality in education, exploring the impact of racism, classism, ableism, and more on individual identities within learning organizations.

As an advocate for social justice and equity in education, Dr. Hauenstein brings a unique perspective as a #FirstGen college graduate with a commitment to anti-racism, LGBTQIA+ affirmation, anti-poverty initiatives, and feminist and critical race theory.

Her academic journey includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Curriculum Studies from DePaul University, a Master of Arts in Education from Ursuline College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Social Sciences from The Ohio State University.

Having held various roles in prestigious institutions like Northwestern University, University of Dayton, and Kellogg Executive Education, Dr. Hauenstein's expertise spans from being a Director of Professional Programs to serving on multiple committees and task forces focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Dr. Hauenstein is the Founder & Principal Consultant at Learning Designs, LLC, offering her wealth of knowledge and experience in curriculum studies and social justice to drive positive change in education.
