Amy Logan

PHD Student at Children's Cancer Institute

Amy Logan is a Postdoctoral research officer at the Children's Cancer Institute in Sydney, Australia.12 She completed her PhD in November 2023 under the supervision of Professor Maria Kavallaris.1 Amy's research focuses on developing targeted particles to deliver RNA therapeutics to solid tumors, including neuroblastoma and brain cancer.1

As a chemical engineer by training, Amy enjoys investigating the impact of changing different particle properties on their RNA delivery efficiency.1 Her current project, funded by the 2025 Cancer Theme Research Seed Grant, aims to develop a new siRNA delivery system targeted for therapeutic delivery to brain cancer cells.1

Outside of her research, Amy is currently learning Mandarin and knows many words related to food, though she has yet to learn scientific terms in the language.1
