Ever feel like you have too many choices?

I’m old enough to remember searching through vinyl in record stores. Finding what you wanted was a thrill.

Now it’s the opposite. There’s so much choice; it’s paralyzing. The problem isn’t finding. It’s deciding.

It’s the same in business.

It can feel like our biggest problem is not just finding solutions. It’s overcoming the choice overwhelm.

What say ye?

What do you do when a client says they don’t have a budget in mind?

Or have a budget that’s under your range for the work they want?

Or have a budget that’s over your range but are hiding that from you?

Nailing budget ranges is key to writing a good proposal. The problem is, a lot of clients will have mismatched expectations or have no idea what the work you do should cost.

You could just go ahead and write up a proposal without an agreed budget range, but that will most likely be rejected as too high or leave a lot of money on the table.

Bad either way.

This week, I’m writing an article on how to solve this problem in The Breakthrough Beat Newsletter.

If you’d like to get it, leave a YES in the comments and I’ll drop you a subscription link.
