What do you do if you're an International Woman looking for meaningful employment? You get help from the best!

The International Women on the Rise group (part of the International Mentoring Program | St. Louis) had the Dream Team at yesterday's workshop! Thank you to Bob Kolf (ESFJ), Tammy Gillette, Alison Niermann, and Leenna C..

We are so grateful to this amazing panel of four who shared insider tips about how to land a job in St Louis (or anywhere, for that matter). So much wisdom and practical help! We learned:

  • The role of recruiters and how to balance that with your own workplan,
  • The power of networks, and how to use them,
  • The value of conducting informational interviews before applying for the role,
  • How to translate international experience and education for US companies,
  • The importance of looking through the lens of what the employer needs rather than just what you have to offer... And so much more!

The panel even stayed on to help participants one-on-one, by giving individual resume and LinkedIn profile feedback.

Many thanks also to Alejandra Berra, CFP® and Commerce Bank for allowing us to use the bank's beautiful premises for our program. Susan Dealis Gobbo Daniela Zamora
