Amy Shostak

Improvisor / Educator / Facilitator

Amy Shostak is a versatile professional with a background in improvisation, education, corporate training, and theatre administration.

Currently based in Vancouver, Amy works on the traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and səl ̓ ilw̓ ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples.

She is an improv instructor at Blind Tiger Comedy, a Lead Artist in the Arts + Health program with the Vancouver Parks Board & City of Vancouver, and the former Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre in Edmonton.

Amy is actively involved in leading workshops on communication and team-building through improvisation for various organizations, including UBC Department of Linguistics, DDB Canada, and The Works Art & Design Festival.

Her international improvisation experiences include performances at festivals in locations such as Reunion Island, Bogota, Canberra, and Berlin.
