"Don't take me wrong. It's A-MAZING at spelling!" ( Rand Fishkin about #AI during a rockstar panel of esteemed marketers and strategists at #TuringFest)

Normally, I consider myself a ChatGPT power-user. I thoroughly enjoyed training it to become VC Bro, a simulator for pitching to investors. I believe it can save time, energy, and resources when dealing with large data sets. And if approached with a clear goal (and patience), it can become a pretty decent assistant that clears your schedule for the 20% that truly makes an impact and difference to your life and career/business.

But! It's just a tool. When it's actually operational (I wonder if "is ChatGPT down" already won over "is Reddit down" in search), it still requires a brief. And as someone who started in advertising I can assure you - the outcome is only as good as the brief was. Investors ask many questions, coaches even more so are trained in co-active listening and finding the right questions to ask. So most of the time I enjoy this challenge of conversing with the machine (being a sci-fi geek from early years, I appreciate living in the times my favourite authors imagined). But occasionally the dialogue stalls. Like today, and now I smile remembering the heated panel last week in Edinburgh with Jason Miller, Rand Fishkin, Emma Stratton, moderated by Bethan Vincent on "How will AI Change Marketing?". And how do you think it will?
