Last year I was fortunate to work on designing the CAAMFEST 2021 film festival campaign. The world was just starting to open up from the pandemic lockdowns, but social distancing was still necessary. The team wanted to create something that felt vibrant and positive, but also different than the muted pastel-colored direction from the previous year. The event was a combination of both virtual and IRL events held at Fort Mason in SF.
I chose to work with a palette of rich purples and vibrant warm colors to give a sense of comfort and warmth. The undulating shapes were meant to convey a feeling of abstract dreaminess - like getting a hug from a long-lost relative. I wanted to convey that feeling across the signage, video, and social media marketing assets.
