Excited to share McKinsey Global Institute's latest report on the energy transition! I'm grateful to have been a part of this work and to have learned so much about the path to net zero in the process.
Did you know that the energy transition is still in its early stages, with only about 10% of required deployment achieved in most areas? This report identifies 25 interlinked physical challenges that need to be tackled to advance the transition.
They involve developing and deploying new low-emissions technologies and entirely new supply chains and infrastructure to support them.

I am thrilled to share that my final master's thesis, "Advancing equity in climate investments with catalytic capital" has been selected and published by the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Thoughtful climate-focused catalytic capital can be key in mitigating emissions. However, it can also play a critical role in advancing equity and addressing the disparate burdens caused by climate change on vulnerable communities. At a unique moment in time in which climate action is needed more than ever, catalytic capital funds are uniquely positioned to wrestle with issues of climate justice and equity more comprehensively. This report delves into this unique opportunity and provides a set of tactical recommendations. At its core, it explores:
🌲 The catalytic capital climate investing space in the US and its intersection with and approach to equity 🌲The barriers and opportunities that exist to advance equity through thoughtful capital deployment 🌲A set of tactical best practices and initiatives that funds can implement moving forward I feel privileged to have worked with Prime Coalition as my partner organization and with Anna Goldstein and Sarah Kearney, who are leading incredible work in this space. My gratitude and appreciation to all the experts that participated in the research and shared their invaluable input and expertise, and to my thesis advisors, David Wood and Brian Trelstad, and John Haigh, my seminar leader, for their continued insight and guidance.
Exciting opportunities exist to leverage catalytic capital to be bold and create shared prosperity as the world addresses climate change. To learn more, find the paper here: https://lnkd.in/dgjTaufw
