Highlights
Last week at Homebase, we held a "Ship-It" Hackathon where we focused on shipping something tangible in four days -- whether external or internal. The breadth of ideas and hack projects was incredible to see. I'm certain that many of these projects will add a ton of value either to our customers' day-to-day use of the product, or to internal users...
One project that stood out -- possibly because I was the manager in their video narrative 😂 -- was the team that built a full internal onboarding site in four days! As a small but fast-growing company, we were in need of onboarding materials and the team SHIPPED-it! 🙌 🚢 Thanks Arunika Dhal Kanchana Padmanabhan Jason Noble Kristen Mehendale Spencer Floria Chu Elaine L. Debbie Abela Andrew Lawton and several others that I can't find on LI!
We're a fun team that loves to see value in our work of helping small business owners create unstoppable teams. If that sounds like you, we have many roles open at https://lnkd.in/gx_22U7U 👋
This whole Raw Signal Group newsletter hit me in the feels -- The workplace fight worth having:
"We have worked in organizations whose leaders fought hard, for years, over the right rendering engine to use for a mobile app. Fights over sales collateral, fights over offsite destinations, fights over seating plans. It frankly gets a little tiring — work doesn't have to be a series of fights. But what we'd say to you is that if there's a place to fight in your organization, it's on the same side as your people who are struggling. To be the one who says, 'I really don't think this is good enough.' So that your person, in the midst of whatever they're dealing with, doesn't have to do that alone."
