Thanks to Tanya Bilsbury for the great suggestion to get these power resources into an article rather than just a post 🙌🏽 (referent power in action!). The resources in this article all relate to a video I recently published about refusing powerlessness. It's a little pilot I'm trying out to take the power literacy work I do in classrooms and for clients out into the community. You can find the video these resources support here https://lnkd.in/giVdKgvV and follow me if you want to see future videos.

Sharon Gregson has been at the forefront fighting for $10 a Day Child Care. It has been an honour to work with her and others on this issue for over two decades.

Childcare is an economic issue, but it’s also a heart and soul issue. Access to good quality public childcare is a lifeline for workers, families, kids and strong communities! Our BC NDP has made big investments in childcare, but we have more work ahead of us to get to $10 a day for families and living wages for all childcare workers.

I am grateful to the many champions who have been doing the heavy lifting to open up more affordable, high quality child care opportunities in Vancouver – Little Mountain and across BC.
