How do you plan your year beyond new year resolutions? 🤔

I recently watched Jesse Itzler video on how he plans his year as he’s been known for his Big Calendar and methodology behind it. When you see the year visually your perspective changes. 📆

Jesse Itzler is an American entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker known for co-founding Marquis Jet, a private jet card company, and for his diverse ventures spanning music, fitness, and business. I love his energy and authenticity.

🧠 “Prepare to plan, you plan to fail”

🗑 Get rid of clutter

Start the year by getting rid of what you don’t need, as Marie Kondo would say: If It doesn’t bring you joy, it’s time to let go of it.

👔 Clothes you no longer want  🖋 Clean your desk and your surroundings 📩 Clean your email inbox (most of us are victims of a overwhelming inbox)

These steps will help you start the year with a clear mind.

🎯 Choose your Misogi

We tend to choose too many things when it comes to resolutions and when the end of the year comes around and you haven’t achieved the 20 goals on your list you’re disappointed.

What is ONE thing you’d like to be celebrating 12 months from now? Choose a big win for the year and go all in on that.

💊 Choose your vitamins

As individuals we all have activities that bring us fulfilment, these are your vitamins.

⛹🏽‍♀️ Working out 🍣 Weekly dinner with friends 📓 Learning a language 🎨 Painting, Etc

Define yours and take 1 to 2 a day.

By taking your vitamins you not only become more interesting but you show up as a better version of you! The more you experience the more you have to offer. 💙

Try to create early moments on your day so you get early wins and therefore you’re more motivated for the rest of the day! 🌟

Every other month take a weekend to do something for you 🏄🏽‍♀️

He calls these mini adventures and put them on the calendar. These will equal to 6 mini adventures a year which will make you take time for yourself and avoid burnouts.

And lastly show up for other people, as Jesse says, it’s free and everyone can do it! 🙌🏽

Wishing everyone an amazing year 🌟

I recently attended Web Summit in Lisbon, where I was inspired by a thought-provoking talk by the Chief Marketing Officer of Pandora, Mary Carmen (MC) Gasco-Buisson.

One of the key takeaways that left a lasting impression on me was a simple yet powerful approach to problem-solving.

🚀 Change Your Perspective, Change Your Game

As entrepreneurs, we're constantly navigating the challenge of how to make our mark in a competitive landscape. Instead of asking yourself, "What is true?" when faced with a problem, flip the script and question, "What would have to be true?"

🔍 The Power of Asking the Right Questions

This shift in perspective can be applied to every facet of your business – from visual identity, to concepts, features, pricing, and beyond. It's about delving into the underlying assumptions and conditions that must be met for your startup to thrive.

💬 Engage Your Team and Users

Here's where the magic happens: Engage your team in this thought exercise. Ask them, "What would have to be true for us to succeed in this particular area?" This collaborative approach not only fosters a culture of innovation but also brings diverse perspectives to the table.

Equally important is involving your users and customers. Ask them, "What would have to be true for you to choose us over the competition?" Their insights are invaluable, providing a clear roadmap to meeting and exceeding their expectations.💡

Having worked at Unilever (Axe/Lynx), Procter & Gamble, Pandora and applying this mindset, she has proven time and time again, it works!
