Exciting News!
When I started TalentMiners in 2015, I ventured out to gain experience on the external side of recruiting. It led me to some amazing clients and eventually to OpenX where I hung my hat for 5 years, leading the Global Talent Team. It was one of the greatest learning experiences that made me develop more grit than I could shake a stick at, especially as we navigated a re-org, Covid and the aftermath. Despite the challenges, it gave me the chance to lead an exceptional team through a challenging growth cycle and collaborate closely with some of the brightest minds in ad tech.
After leaving OpenX, and despite all possible options, my next move was clear: re-launching TalentMiners with new intentions and goals. It started as a passion project years ago, but this time I'm coming into it with more clarity and openness to new ideas, new ways of working, and moonshot plans that give you those rollercoaster butterflies in your stomach!
In January, I relaunched TalentMiners to make a greater impact on the lives of candidates and to create better outcomes for clients by helping them build high capacity teams. I trusted the process, and with patience, persistence, and a positive outlook, doors started opening. But I will be clear: this isn't like that Instagram post you see about the guy who became a rich day trader over night, far from that. It's rather a story about building something meaningful from the ground up, brick by brick, in order to be of service to others.
Fast forward a few months, and here I am serving candidates and helping companies understand the market and hire some of the best talent. It’s the first inning in the game, and while we will have some home runs, this game will be won by base hits day in and day out. It's the gritty mindset that will take us win. A candidate ghosts me, keep swinging. If an offer falls through, keep swinging. If a client says no thank you, keep swinging. Keep swinging, keep swinging… keep swinging, because eventually that daily work will produce those hits that will add up to the big wins. We will celebrate the wins and then keep swinging.
It’s just the first inning and we are just getting warmed up… Let’s go!
My DMs are open. Let’s talk. Let’s work together.
A big shout-out to my colleagues who have provided me with feedback, guidance, and support. Paul Ryan, Mandana Mellano, John LaMarche, Edith Reas, Mario E. Munich, Jody Mulkey, Tom McGovern, Shannon Slamon, Mike Mattson, Jessica McGuire, Donnie Banks
