Andrew Ching is a Filmmaker and Editor based in San Francisco, with a passion for exploring the human psyche and behavior through cinema. Originally from Pacific Grove, CA, he overcame family and societal expectations to pursue his love for filmmaking. Andrew's journey into the world of cinema began at City College of San Francisco's Cinema Dept., where he founded a Film club, created award-nominated short films, and honed his editing skills. His work has been recognized at prestigious film festivals like SXSW and Palm Springs Int'l Short Film. Andrew's experience includes serving as Assistant Editor for the Sundance/Sony Pictures Classics feature film 'Haiku Tunnel.' Additionally, his shorts have been aired on PBS and received acclaim on IMDb. Inspired by directors like Hitchcock, Welles, Kurosawa, and Lynch, Andrew aims to infuse his films with psychological suspense and insights. Currently, he is developing a bold short film project and working on a feature screenplay based on his mother's life in pre-Communist China. Andrew's specialties include Filmmaking and Editing.
