Andrew Hooley is a founding member of the Smart Innovation Centre at Transport for NSW, specializing in the development and piloting of innovative transport technologies.

With a background in strategy, innovation, and commercial development, Andrew has a diverse professional experience in areas like transport, infrastructure, retail, and not-for-profit sectors.

Andrew excels at leading projects by collaborating with others and has a strong understanding of strategic, technical, and commercial aspects of delivering innovative projects and services.

His notable achievements include being shortlisted for the ITS Australia Young Professional Award for his work with NSW's Regional Automated Vehicle Trials.

Andrew's recent focus has been on sustainable transport technology and policy, particularly in developing a Zero Emission Bus Transition Strategy and fostering collaborations across various sectors.

Andrew's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts from Macquarie University, along with additional courses at universities such as University of Technology Sydney and University of Cambridge.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys traveling and has studied abroad at the University of Bristol.

Andrew has held various roles at Transport for NSW, including Manager Future Mobility Strategy and Engagement, A/Project Manager at the Smart Innovation Centre, and other key positions in project development, commercial strategy, and customer communications.

Prior to his roles at Transport for NSW, he served in marketing and administrative capacities at organizations like 180 Degrees Consulting and Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia.
