Andrew Hoppin is an open-source GovTech entrepreneur, former government CIO, and angel investor dedicated to enhancing a decentralized, egalitarian, and democratic world.

As the CEO of CoverUS, Andrew strives to improve the efficiency of the US healthcare system by empowering patients to control their health data for better care affordability insights.

He serves as a Global Impact Entrepreneur investor and mentor at New Zealand's Edmund Hillary Fellowship and leads the Board of the DC-based good governance NGO Global Integrity.

Andrew's notable contributions include founding DKAN, the open-source platform powering numerous government open data sites globally, and later selling NuCivic, its parent company, to Granicus Inc.

During his tenure as the first Chief Information Officer for the New York State Senate from 2009-2011, Andrew facilitated the disclosure of thousands of datasets and established the inaugural government Github repository.

Trained as a planetary geologist, Andrew co-founded NASA CoLab to enhance efficiency and transparency at NASA through novel partnerships with external communities.

With a diverse entrepreneurial background, he also co-founded GoodStorm (Zazzle), Trellon, and contributed to CivicSpace Labs.

Andrew's advisory and directorial roles cover various organizations such as Global Integrity, CivicActions, and Netroots Nation, reflecting his commitment to enhancing governance and technological innovation.
