Keeping top talent is a super power.

Knowing why they stay is the start.

Employee retention never ends.

Everyone is different.

Motivation matters.

Your motivation today won't be your motivation 10 years from now.

It's OK if your answer has changed over time.

You're probably getting smarter.

What's your answer today?

You kept giving so I kept running.

Thanks for all your donations to the American Cancer Society 31 Miles in July challenge!

Goal: $731 Raised: $763

Miles target: 31 Miles ran: 83

Side effects: soreness, fatigue, confusion, delusion, shortness of breath, euphoria.

However, the most unexpected side effect was hearing from a new connection in my network who's wife had an even more treacherous bout with cancer.

And to this day lives to tell the tale just like my wife despite cancer's very best devious efforts.

He and I are now "family" of a kind neither one of us expected before catching a coffee last week.

And if we get a chance to do business together at some point great.

Meanwhile we both know who the real fighters are in our households.

So here's to all the fighters out there.

Wherever you are.

Fight on!
