Andrew Lih is an American new media researcher, consultant, and writer who currently serves as the Wikimedian at Large at the Smithsonian Institution and Wikimedia Strategist at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.123 Born in 1968, Lih is known for his expertise on Wikipedia and internet censorship in China.3

Lih is the author of the book "The Wikipedia Revolution: How a Bunch of Nobodies Created the World's Greatest Encyclopedia," published in 2009.12 He has been a prominent figure in the Wikipedia community since 2003, when he became the first university professor to incorporate Wikipedia editing into classroom assignments.5
