Highlights
Many thanks to all those who sponsored me on my recent adventure in Kenya. The cycling was very challenging, the weather was hot, camping in the wild in the Maasai Mara was adventurous but the most exciting part for me was visiting a school which is supported by the charities for which we are fundraising and which has the primary intention of keeping children and young people (especially girls) in education through their early teenage years giving them, and their families a brighter future. The facilities leave much to be desired, however we have, as a team, raised almost £40,000 which should make a huge difference to their lives. So thank you all - there is still the opportunity to contribute!
In just over three weeks (31st October 2019) I am flying to Nairobi to join a fundraising cycle challenge which will be tough but fun and exciting. I have covered my own costs for the trip and am pleased to be raising money to support several very well run and innovative educational projects for children in East Africa. I don’t want to make this message too long, and some of you kind people have already sponsored me, however for those that would like to know more I would be delighted to send you details of the projects our Ride the Rift team are supporting (links on my page). To make donating to my Virgin Money Giving page simple all that you need do is ‘click’ on the button below. Thank you so much, your highly valued support will help me get out of the Rift Valley on to the plains of the Maasai Mara! With all good wishes, Andrew
