🇬🇧 It's disheartening to see a major UK health contract go to a US company, Palantir, instead of a UK tech firm.
The UK tech sector employs over 1.7 million people and contributes over £150bn to the UK economy every year
Despite this, a US company has secured a lucrative deal with England's National Health Service.
This raises the question: Are UK tech companies not good enough to win such contracts? 🤔
As a tech enthusiast, I believe in the potential of UK tech companies and their ability to compete globally. It's crucial for the UK to support and invest in its tech industry to ensure that local companies have the opportunity to win significant contracts and contribute to the country's growth. Let's continue to champion UK tech and strive for a future where our homegrown talent can thrive. #UKTech #Innovation #supportlocal
I'm excited to announce the launch of my new website/project/skunkworks, havingdyslexia.rocks! As someone with dyslexia, I know the struggle of writing emails, presentations, and reading large bodies of text all too well. Autocorrect is not my friend, and reading an email over 1000 words can take me for ages.
But fear not! Thanks to OpenAI, I've been able to build some incredible tools using the GPT-4 API that have made my life so much easier. And now, I'm offering them for FREE on havingdyslexia.rocks! (But if you really want to say thanks, you can buy me a coffee, helps towards the IT costs.)
The tools I've built, like "Sentence Correction" and "Text Summarisation," are designed specifically for dyslexic users like me, with more tools coming. And, I wanted to use this site to show that technology, especially AI, can be a game-changer for people with disabilities.
I couldn't have done it without the help of my friend Jason Daniel Ting, so a huge shoutout to him! Check out havingdyslexia.rocks, and let me know what you think!
(and yes this post was generated by GPT 4 😁 including the image below)
