Andrew Park

CEO at CarNow

Andrew Park is the former Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of CarNow, a technology company focused on automotive retail solutions. He held the CEO position from the company's inception in 2014 until his departure in April 2023. Under his leadership, CarNow grew significantly, serving over 5,000 dealerships across the United States and becoming a prominent player in the automotive retail technology sector.135

However, Park's tenure at CarNow ended amid serious legal troubles. In September 2024, he pleaded guilty to federal charges related to payroll tax fraud, admitting to withholding more than $14 million in employment taxes from employees' paychecks without remitting those funds to the government. This included failing to file personal tax returns from 2013 to 2020.125 The Department of Justice highlighted that Park was responsible for all financial matters of the company, including tax obligations, and had ignored numerous notifications from payroll services regarding unpaid taxes.34

After his departure from CarNow, the company took immediate steps to rectify the tax issues and ensure all owed amounts were paid to the government.13 Following his guilty plea, Park's sentencing is pending, with prosecutors recommending a lower sentence based on his cooperation.1
