Andrew Tay

Andrew Tay is a seasoned professional with expertise in the thermomechanical reliability of solar PV modules and microelectronics packaging, thermal management of electronic systems and batteries for electric vehicles, numerical simulations, solar photovoltaics, solar thermal energy utilization, and fracture mechanics. Andrew's specialties lie in the reliability of electronic and photovoltaic modules, solar energy utilization, thermal management of electronics components and battery systems, finite element analysis, heat transfer, computational fluid dynamics, and the application of fracture mechanics to thermomechanical failure of electronic packages. Andrew Tay has pursued his education at UNSW, obtaining a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and a BE (Hons I). Currently, Andrew serves as a Senior Research Fellow at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and has previously held positions as a Professor at the National University of Singapore.
