I wanted to give a warm welcome to both Roy Endo and Alex Tautu to the Field Engineering team at Rill Data! I've had the pleasure to work with both individuals during my time building out the global support organization at Dataiku. They've been integral parts to the very special, tight-knit support team we had - rock stars in their own right - and who both have made meaningful contributions during my tenure there (and beyond).
With Roy, I had the fortune of being introduced through Zensho Agency Inc. (cc Andrew Peters in case you're looking to hire in Japan). We had a shared MicroStrategy connection but, other than that, he would not have been your traditional JP or support hire. He was actually brought on as one of our initial weekend warriors. Roy though was a quick learner, had a great work ethic, was fast on his feet (in what many would consider a "startup-in-a-startup" situation), had good critical thinking skills to think / solve problems from first principles, and of course was a great team player. Very excited to see how much he has grown over the years and excited for this next journey together!
Alex - what else I can say besides the man is a machine. He was one of our initial EMEA team hires and has been a bedrock ever since. I would not have had anywhere the level of success without having someone like Alex to rely on and/or trust with important initiatives. Technical, senior, and experienced in a wide-variety of technical customer-facing roles (in companies of all stages), he hit the ground running on day zero and the rest has been history. He's had an outsized impact during our time together, and when I came to him to help bootstrap and launch DKU Cloud Support, I knew that he'd do well and could figure things out but even he exceeded my own expectations. Now that he's back in an early-stage environment with even more expansive scope, I can't wait to see what someone like Alex is able to accomplish this time around!
Thank you both for being willing to take the leap of faith and, while I can't promise success, I can promise that it'll be a hell of an adventure, we'll give it our best effort, and of course try to have some fun along the way 🙂
For my EMEA TSE network, I wanted to share the following job posting from Heidi Leatherby who I had the pleasure to work with during my time at dbt Labs: https://lnkd.in/efrzknap

You'll find her to be a warm and supportive leader along with someone who tries her best to put you in a position to be successful.
