By working across departments, Philadelphia city government is at its strongest.

I was overjoyed to read this and other reflections in the City of Philadelphia Public Technology and Innovation Team's 10 year retrospective just published at https://lnkd.in/g4sS5Dbk.

I was one of the lucky City of Philadelphia employees to join one of the Academy for Municipal Innovation cohorts and agree with the report that the Academy provides the opportunity for City employees to work "with people from various departments, backgrounds, and experience levels ...[and an]... opportunity to learn from others, think differently, and propel their own work forward."

Hat's off to Andrew Buss for his leadership and to Stephanie Orlando and Tara Woody for advancing this work with and for even more City employees in Mayor Parker's administration!

A fascinating multi media piece that makes me appreciate what an institution like NYTimes can do.
