Highlights
I am happy to announce a new #ExecutiveEducation course at the @European University Institute’s (EUI) Florence @School of Transnational Governance entitled “AI Governance: Embracing and Harnessing AI for Public Good.”
The course is offered on-line from 28 January to 25 February 2025 from 15:00-17:00 CET for a total of 18 virtual classroom hours. It draws from my nearly three-decades of experience in analysing the digital transformation for public policies and as an active participant in the development of AI governance at the #OECD, the #G7 and the #G20. As #AI Governance moves from principles to rules and laws (e.g. EU AI Act, US Executive Order, national safety institutes), the focus needs to shift to equipping public officials with the know-how to embrace and harness AI for the public good. The course will equip participants with both a conceptual understanding of what AI is, and where it is going. Participants will acquire the basic tools on how to evaluate AI's opportunities and challenges, assess the threats posed by AI, such as bias, misinformation, and economic disruption, and assess the potential benefits in fields like healthcare, education, and urban planning. Students will become familiar with quantitative resources to inform decision-making in AI and the ways and means of undertaking a multi-stakeholder approach to AI #policy development and implementation. #Apply before November 2024 for a reduced fee. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eXHdYfKA #ExEdEUI @Jansulu Abdikyerim @Katherine Miccinilli @Giovanni Zabban @Andrea Renda @Fabrizio Tassinari @Georgios Papakonstantinou
