Andrzej Horoszczak

CTO / CVO at Billon

Andrzej Horoszczak is the founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Billon Group, a company that created a high-performance distributed ledger technology (DLT) system for regulated markets.12 He is also referred to as the Chief Visionary Officer, providing deep tech inspiration and vision for the company's blockchain technology.3

Horoszczak's journey with blockchain began in 2010 when he left his banking security career to become the CEO of a health and wellness portal. Facing challenges in monetizing individual articles due to high transaction costs, he recognized the potential of distributed architecture but also identified issues with existing blockchain technologies, such as high power consumption and lack of regulatory controls.3

Driven by these insights, Horoszczak assembled a team of experts and scientists, consulted with former regulators, and invented a set of new basic principles for distributed ledger technology. He co-founded Billon Group in December 2015 in London to commercialize this technology.3

Under Horoszczak's technical leadership, Billon has developed a unique DLT protocol that aims to unify fiat digital cash, documents, and non-cash tokens into a single, high-performance distributed ledger. This system is designed to meet regulatory requirements and solve challenges for the wide adoption of blockchain technologies in enterprise applications.2
