Andy Burns is a professional with a background in economics and law, holding a BA from the University of Chicago and a JD from UC Hastings. With extensive experience in the non-profit sector, Andy served as the Director of Participant Engagement at SF-Marin Food Bank, where he led teams focusing on outreach, enrollment, customer service, and home-delivery services.

During his tenure at SF-Marin Food Bank, Andy successfully increased the Home-Delivered Groceries program's capacity from 13,000 to over 60,000 deliveries per month, particularly crucial during the Covid pandemic. He collaborated with last-mile delivery providers like DoorDash and Amazon, securing over $1 million in-kind donations. Andy also implemented an integrated enrollment and customer service system to enhance the client experience and facilitate easier access to food assistance in San Francisco and Marin counties.

Driven by a mission to improve access to food assistance, Andy is passionate about mentoring staff, building external relationships, and utilizing data for decision-making. He brings a unique blend of analytical, legal, and managerial skills to his roles, focusing on optimizing performance and enhancing operational efficiency. Andy's overarching goal is to contribute positively to the world and increase the universal 'goodness quotient.'
