So that’s it! 31 years, 4 months and 20 days reached today and i am retiring from the Met! I’ve loved every second, have had an amazing career, travelled the world and have been heavily involved in the roll out of #taser to all uk police from 2006 until today! I’ve worked in the most deprived crime ridden areas whilst on the TSG, been at most of the major public disorder events and have worked on wonderful boroughs in west london, Westminster, including Soho. I’ve seen the best and worst of humanity. And I would do it all again in a heartbeat. For those who are joining now, the job isn’t bad, it’s just different. My advice, take lots of photos along the way. Always be polite and courteous even under the most severe provocation. Remember we are the professionals. We do not have to show any allegiance to any cause. Remain impartial because when you take a side you will be rubbing someone else up the wrong way. Be firm, do not let anyone take you for a ride, control the situation. And always try and do it all with good humour tact and diplomacy. Also, Thank you Lucy D'Orsi who has been a brilliant boss. Prior to her, CC Simon Chesterman and AC Neil Basu. Very safe hands. I will be back shortly working on less lethal and counter drones for NPCC. 👍😁

The use of taser in the uk also relies on the data we capture. Today the CEO of Axon presented how our UK data is helping shape the future of less lethal weapons! This legitimises what we do and how/why we do it!
