Highlights
It was an honor to spend some time on the UpFlip Podcast, sharing my entrepreneurial experiences in starting, scaling and selling 2 companies (HealthTalker and Purple Carrot), and now focusing on the early days of my 3rd and biggest endeavor Brightly.
I hope some of my insights are helpful to those thinking of betting on themselves and going the start-up route, and taking a less traditional path on their career.
I have a print in my home office that sums it up that says: "I love this, and it's terrifying!"
Thanks and enjoy!

It was an honor and privilege to serve as moderator for a dynamic and lively discussion with four pioneers of our food system: Julia Collins from Planet FWD, Jen Berliner from Patagonia Provisions, Sarah Beaubien from Clif Bar and Scott Smithline from Mill at Brightly's SF Climate Week event in partnership with our friends from Planet FWD last night.
These leaders generously shared their lessons learned, cautious optimism, words of inspiration, calls to action, and reasons to believe that we can make positive change with our warming #climate. It will require the work of corporations, consumers and government agencies to seamlessly blend profit and purpose and make the difficult choices easier than ever.
Part of what I loved about this panel of experts was how it helped highlight just how interconnected all of our work is to each other. It is fascinating to observe the connections between quality soil, organic and regenerative farming, nutrient density, health outcomes, consumer behavior, avoided food waste, and GHG emissions.
My sincere thanks to all who attended, and for the shared sense of purpose that we can do this, together!
