⚠️ Long post warning
And just like that, it’s done. Final submission for my MBA, two and a half years of late nights on group assignment calls, early mornings researching, weekends learning about the challenges the business world is facing and heightened anxiety (who starts assignments early?!).
Was it worth it? Absolutely! The UQ Business school has an outstanding program that’s directed at developing a deeper multidisciplinary understanding of some of the complex challenges being faced by businesses today.
There’s a few people I need to thank
My wife Kate thanks for the unwavering support shown during my studies (even when I didn’t choose QUT like she did!). I know it’s been challenging with the arrival of our twins and someone deciding it was a great time to start a business, all at the same time. They say it takes a village to raise children, we are grateful for the support of Kate’s family who have always ensured we have extra support when I have been absent attending countless lectures and tutorials.
Nicole and the team at the UQ business school who have put together a great program that encompasses structured learning of the latest research, industry and academic insights across core business disciplines, strategy and leadership.
My UQ peers - what a cohort of great individuals. I’ve been lucky to build a strong network through the program, many of whom I now consider lifelong friends.
If anyone is considering the course, I’m always available for a chat - please reach out.
