Highlights
A few months ago I was invited to Meta HQ in Menlo Park to speak with Ursula Llabres, Global Director of Customer Growth in their Reality Labs division. We dove into the challenges that construction projects face and how #XR is revolutionizing the way buildings are reviewed before they're built. With the help of Resolve of course.
Over the next few weeks I'll post some of the highlights from our conversation.
💸 Construction is expensive and there is a lot of room for improvement in the productivity and efficiency of project delivery.
🤝 With so many moving parts and stakeholders it's important to invest in technologies that get all parties on the same page. You want reduce risk as data exchanges hands and big decisions are made. Or you pay the price later.
🥽 So how does #VR fix that? Now teams can inspect buildings months before they're built. And find all the critical issues found during a walkthrough much sooner and when they're cheaper to fix.
p.s. I got to film in a really cool virtual studio at Meta. If you're familiar with how the Mandalorian was shot with virtual backdrops (not green screens) this is what you're seeing in this video. It blew my mind 🤯
Big day for McLaren Racing and Oscar Piastri fans. A bittersweet podium due to race strategy but the rest of the season is looking promising for the papaya team 🟠
