I just started working with a new client with a 9 fig net worth.
More money won’t really change much.
Sure flying private is nice, but the moment to moment experience of life matters more.
We are working on a plan to help him 10x his wealth.
But not in the conventional way.
We are doing it by optimizing his entire life around one core thing:
Maximizing joy.
He’s going to become a billionaire either way (with or without my help).
But how he gets there matters to him.
Too many miserable ultra wealthy people in the world already.
Most think money comes at the expense of things that really matter.
Joy, peace, great relationships with a partner or kids.
I think the truth is the exact opposite.
If we build a life and business around feeling alive, turned on and enjoying every moment…
…financial success is the natural byproduct.
Hard to believe this when we are short on cash of course.
But just like gravity doesn’t stop working just because someone doesnt believe in it…
…this is a natural law of the universe.
Whether you’re trying to hit 6 figs or trying to become a billionaire.
You don’t have to choose between being wealthy and happy.
You just have to construct your game so it’s optimized for you (not some influencer on IG).
You may have to stop compromising on your deepest values.
You may have to choose to be radically authentic even when it feels challenging.
You may have to overcome discomfort to bring your vision to life.
I can’t tell you it’ll be worth it, you have to decide that for yourself.
But I can tell you that the universe is designed to be a catalyst for you to unlock the greatest version of you.
I want to share a 10 min clip from my last chat with him to show you a new ‘operating system.’

Let me know if something resonates and if you like these ‘behind the scenes’ clips 🙂
I’ve noticed an interesting phenomenon from advising businesses at various stages of their life cycle, from small startups to large enterprises.
The very strategies that work really well at one stage, can really hurt the business (and founder) at the next.
Often you have to reverse your thinking to unlock the next level.
So let me share a couple of examples.
Choice of customers and markets:
So in choosing your customers and market, you have to be opportunistic early on.
You have to test different segments, markets, customer types, and pain points.
Not only is it good to be broad at this stage, it’s actually a competitive advantage.
This exploration often reveals the best opportunity that should be taken advantage of.
However, if you persist in being opportunistic for too long, you can spread yourself too thin because you’re trying to serve multiple markets, avatars and segments.
The lack of focus that used to be an advantage quickly becomes a liability.
So you need to narrow your focus and become strategic.
Being opportunistic gives you optionality, while the strategic approach allows you to focus.
…And focus is critical to scale efficiently.
Let's go through another example - how you drive sales and generate demand:
Early on, sales is all about relationships.
At this stage, your highest point of leverage is to sell to your network.
People buy from you because they know you and trust is already present.
But when you want to 5x, 10x or 100x, just selling to people you know doesn't scale.
That's when you need to invest in building a brand and creating systems.
A brand is just a way to build and nurture personal relationships at scale.
Building a brand and creating customer acquisition engines allows you to connect to strangers who've never met you, and create a transaction because they have already ‘experienced’ you.
You’ll know when it’s time to change your approach when the same activities and effort produce diminishing returns.
It’s tempting to double down on what was previously working - but it’s often a trap.
Something for you to reflect on today:
- Where in your business are you getting diminishing returns (dollars or joy)?
- What strategy or approach has run its course and needs to be replaced?
- What could you do that’s currently outside of your comfort zone that could unlock growth?
