Highlights
A friend of mine is looking for a product and tech co-founder for his very cool startup Fable. Fable is an AI-powered journaling app that transforms brief daily journal entries into illustrated personal stories. It guides users through Epics, Characters, and Prophecies to uncover meaning in their life journey. It's really quite amazing, please reach out if you're curious.
One of my 2023 goals is to continue our intentional process of building a diverse and innovative team at Globig and GROWlocity. I think diversity is a competitive advantage, this article talks about neurodiversity being an advantage. https://lnkd.in/gbMjYDSz
We have lots of room for improvement as we grow but here are some of the things we've accomplished at Globig so far:
- Diversity in ages - 30% are under 30, 20% over 50
- Diversity in female to male ratio (we skew female) 30% male
- Neurodiversity - 50% of our team is neurodivergent and it's so exciting
- Diversity in socioeconomic backgrounds 50%
- Diversity in education levels - we have quite the mix from high school-only 10%, to graduate school 30%
- Diversity in race - this is where we can do better, we have only 20% mix of race and in 2023 we will continue to be intentional as we grow
- Global perspective - 40% are from or have lived in another country Are you considering diversity a competitive advantage for your business?
