I wrote this piece as a testimonial for Cyberhaven, but I want also to share it here with my network. Maybe it will help anyone who is hesitant to apply to our open positions to make a decision.
Supportive. This is the word that defines Cyberhaven for me.
I've been here for more than 4 years now, and always, every day I felt supported, heard, and respected. I know that (what a shame!) it's still not the case in some companies: that women in tech are still suffering from sexism or detrimental prejudices; I hear about such cases from my friends. But lucky me, I never, not even once felt any kind of such attitude in Cyberhaven: every employee is treated with respect, encouraged to contribute, take ownership, and grow both professionally and personally.
My personal Cyberhaven journey vibrantly highlights why I define it as "supportive": I came to the company as a first QA (junior manual), and as company grew and evolved, I also grew my set of responsibilities: I took more and more ownership, built a QA team and (to the large extent) established QA processes, while discernibly influencing some other company processes, etc. Then the time came, and I felt that I need to do something new, to explore new horizons: I wanted to change my role and work with AI (wild, drastic, crazy, isn't it? ;) ). And guess what? I was fully supported and encouraged, and now I'm a part of our newly emerged AI-team.
What could be a better recognition of a personal contributor then empowering them to move in the direction they want and being both an inspiration to the employee and inspired by them? I would say there is nothing better to do for the company culture and for the team in medium and long-term.
So, I wish everyone could find a place where they could grow and feel appreciated. Place like Cyberhaven. :)
