As some may already know, I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Communications Associate at Rosie's Place!

I want to thank all the lovely people I have spoken to thus far at Rosie’s place through the interview process as well as my first week of work. Your kindness and patience is so extremely appreciated and I am so grateful to work with you. I’m super excited to join the communication team and utilize my design and organizational skills to best represent Rosie’s place.

I don’t want to make too long a post and list out every name but I want to thank everyone who has been able to meet or talk with me 1:1 over zoom and give great career advice (you know who you are). I super appreciate all your time and guidance!

I want to express my gratitude as well for all the Ithaca College Alumni Association networking events as well as American Marketing Association | Boston! When I first attended an AMA Boston event I felt very intimidated and out of place. However, upon connecting further with people I found such a great community of people and felt inspired to get more involved. Since then I’ve been volunteering doing some social media work for Brian Hurst and a little programming work for Selena Craig as well.

I have connected this the incredible Bob Cargill and have been able to speak to 2 of his classes. He also gifted me his book 20 Jobs, 20 Lessons and it could not have been more relevant and informative for someone in my position or anyone thinking about their career and I highly recommend!

I want to first thank Deborah Campbell Malloy for sending over this awesome opportunity and AnnaMaria Costa for giving me some amazing resources and job insight early into my search. Thank you Scott Hamula and Casey Musarra as well for your constant support and expertise in this field.

Quick thank you to encouraging professionals and mutuals who have had so much faith in my abilities even when I felt discouraged and to Eleanor Kay for letting me practice on her many a times.

I commend those of you who have read this to the end and I wish any prospective job seeker the best of luck. It's easy to get discouraged submitting application after application or going through rounds and rounds of interviews, trust me I’ve been there, but you got this truly and if you ever feel inclined to reach out I’d be happy to chat about anything communications/post-grad job search related.

So excited to post more about upcoming projects and relevant news related to Rosie’s Place and I thank the organization again for this amazing opportunity!

On Tuesday I had the opportunity to attend Marketing Mingle With Mass Professional Networking in collaboration with AMA!

I have been thinking about joining Boston's Chapter of AMA (American Marketing Association | Boston) for some time and finally did when I saw this networking event—and am so glad I did!

My previous networking experiences with Ithaca alumni have been so great for making valuable connections and learning more about my industry. I wanted to continue expanding my network in the Boston area as I continue in my search for a job in the graphic design/marketing world.

Thank you to the organizers of this event and to everyone I had the pleasure of speaking to and connecting with. And speakers Bob Cargill and Jeffrey DeSocio ! As well as Margaritas Restaurant in Framingham. I loved learning about different industries from marketing, business, photography, real estate etc and am excited to attend future events with AMA, Mass Professional Networking, and MetroWestChamber !

(I tried to tag you if we exchanged information 🙂 ). #openforwork #networkingevent #marketing #bostonevents #massprofessionalnetworking
