The past two weeks have been a truly INCREDIBLE adventure full of magic and delight! 🥇✨ It was hard to put words to what I just experienced as we're all still processing. It was an honor to get to share my Olympics story on the official site. 💜🩷 https://lnkd.in/ex7HGvbs

Olympic fever is real. Earlier this month I had the honor of participating in the Olympiade des Arrondissements hosted by the city which fully converted me. I came home with gold for the 18ème arrondissement, and silver in the entire city for my age group. That was FUN! Also an incredible reminder of France’s initiatives to make sport accessible to everyone (it’s more than just winning.)

It was the most professional swim meet I’ve ever been a part of, complete with official time pads. There even was a medal ceremony and I received my medal, flowers, and mascot from a former French Olympian.

The entire experience took me back to my childhood and how I loved hanging out at the pool and being part of swim team. (I forgot how much fun competing was too!)

There has been a lot of grumbling from Parisians about the J.O. (Jeux Olympiques) and the majority have left town (some with regrets), but now that it’s Opening Ceremonies, and the games are here you can feel the excitement is picking up. Even the heavily criticised mascot is winning over new fans!

Paris is about to next level this Olympic Opening Ceremony doing it on the Seine. Definitely tune in. I watched a making of documentary, and just WOW. Talk about having the audacity to dream big and do the impossible.

I’m currently up to 12 events (+ a last minute Opening Ceremony ticket in the creation of this post), a wide range of sports, and 4 medal rounds for my Olympic run. There’s already been a lot of magic, and we haven’t even started yet. (The best part is I capped my budget at 500€ proving there is another way to do the Olympics.) Cannot wait to be in the arena where it happens!
