Giving credit where it's due - this is a Chewy appreciation post.
I decided to switch to a subscription for my one year old Corgi's dog food. I logged into my chewy account and ordered his food along with a prescription for Nexgard. Part of the process involves verifying the prescription with your vet before processing. I hadn't used the account since I was purchasing for my previous fur baby, and the vet information was wrong.
They reached out to me to let me know they couldn't fill the prescription, and when I realized what happened I explained the situation. I felt so overwhelmed with support and truly seen by their response. CX Leaders know it's hard to scroll LinkedIn without seeing an example from the team at Chewy. What made this interaction so powerful besides the obvious pulling on heart strings?
✅ Ease - their CX team took my address to find the information of my new vet to process the prescription with my permission
✅ Connection - it feels like a conversation between friends (good friends). Trust skyrockets with vulnerability
✅ Community - I feel like I'm a part of something after leaving this conversation
The best CX is an experience than makes you feel human... even if the purpose of communication might be for the pup.
