Just spent the last two days with an incredible group of senior people from the UK Government Communication Service. They have joined the Masters in Strategic Communication Leadership designed especially for them and run by the University of Huddersfield. These are my first impressions of them:

  1. They have challenging jobs that would scare the pants off most people. They deal with issues of weight that affect other people's lives at the most profound level.
  2. They are dedicated public servants who do their utmost to ensure the people of the UK (and elsewhere) have the information they need to make informed choices and/or to keep them safe.
  3. They take their ethical obligations seriously.
  4. They are highly skilled, intelligent, thoughtful and conscientious professionals at the top of their game.

We are fortunate to live in a country where we have public servants of integrity and calibre. It is our absolute privilege to walk with them on their leadership journey.
