Annette Kendall

Director - Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Trulaske College of Business - University of Missouri

Dr. Annette Kendall, a New Zealand native, made her mark in entrepreneurship from a young age, starting her first business at five by selling flowers from her neighbors' gardens.

Over the years, she ventured into various fields such as blogging, teaching children's theatre, accounting, and operating a dictaphone before transitioning into academia.

Despite an unconventional route to academia, Dr. Kendall obtained her PhD in 2019 and now serves as a faculty member at the Trulaske College of Business, University of Missouri-Columbia.

In her role, she instructs courses in entrepreneurship, fostering creative thinking and complex problem-solving skills among students, emphasizing empowering neurodivergent individuals to explore entrepreneurship.

Dr. Kendall has been involved in numerous organizations and roles, including Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Assistant Teaching Professor in Management, and Trustee of various community initiatives.

She holds educational accolades including a Doctorate in Agricultural and Applied Economics and Master's degrees in Management and Business Administration from Massey University.

While professionally accomplished, she values her family, with a husband and son, as well as her two dogs, and maintains a consistent routine with her breakfast choice for the past six years.
